The Teacher

I always say that often you don’t get what you want because there is something better waiting for you. You’re probably selling yourself short, not thinking big enough, or heaven forbid you’ve lost your grip on that priceless feeling of unwavering faith.  The universe has a funny way of working.  Definitely, it has a sense … Continue reading »

  • Remember that 'ol "Don't hate my cuz I'm beautiful" line? Right now my line is more like "Don't hate me because I "liked" Ancient Aliens." lol
  • Sour Oranges- Does anybody remember when oranges were good?  I swear oranges used to be the best!  Juicy and dripping and tasty.  But nowadays, I consistently get the worst, nastiest oranges and there's only one explanation for it- oranges have become the most tragic victim of genetic manipulation and chemicals otherwise known as dumb human beings screwing around with crap that was already perfectly fine before they got their dirty claws into it.
  • Making Money on Piles of Money- So Romney makes $57k a day in 2010.  That's about what an average family makes in a year.  He only pays a 13.9% tax rate.  The average family is not so lucky at 26-35%.  What pisses me off the most is that he makes almost all of that "income" off of interest on his money and investments.  In other, words, he doesn't lift a finger for it.  He doesn't work.  He simply exploits a numbers game that was written by rich people so they wouldn't have to get their fingers dirty or cook their own food.  And THAT is what I'm "envious" about- that he gets to collect government welfare for not working while criticizing other people for collecting welfare.  But we still let these people get away with calling fortunes made on interest and inheritance "hard work" because they "made money" and making money MUST translate to " hard work" right?  Bullshit!
  • The Anti-Christ Arrives (Regarding Mitt Romney)- Mostly, what I'm really excited about is the inevitable moment when the rest of the Christians ask him to explain Mormonism.  After all, Christians and Muslims and Jews have argued for centuries over when the Bible ends.  I can only imagine the reaction when he tells the Southern Baptists that there is an extra Testament to the Bible that they've never read!  That is totally a tipping point in American culture that only the Anti-Christ could instigate.  Lookout America!  Personally, I could give a shit.  I believe they're all fools but I feel bad for my Mormon friends, because I have a soft spot for them and their religion.  Probably because if God is real, I believe he is still talking and never stopped... so Mormonism is the closest thing going.  If he's alive, I care about what he's saying right now, in this moment... not so much about the rumors people spread about him from last weekend's party.
  • Hypocrisy Alert! For me what's wrong is there's a double standard used by Republicans who bash welfare and food stamp recipients for "playing the system," but conveniently change course when a rich person exploits a loophole to get ahead.  If a rich person does it, suddenly they're like "what's wrong with that?  If the system has holes then they should be exploited!"  If  a poor person does the same, they call them "dependent."  Hypocrisy!
  • Underdog Love- I'm collecting donations and putting together a kitty of $1,000,000 dollars for a post-bowl game- whoever wins the national championship vs. Boise State.  Non-conference, non-season, not effecting stats.  Just cash and honor.  Anybody who would like to chip in, donations are being accepted.  If Alabama or LSU would like to step out from behind your BCS bodyguards at the NCAA, let me know.
  • I'm annoyed that people who are pissed their employers want to censor the word 'Christmas' have no problem with policies against other forms of expression like tattoos, piercings, hair, etc.  Either stand for expression as a whole or stop cherry picking to fulfill your ego.
  • Alright.  So I've started working on some new music!  (Is there anyone out there who actually gives a crap?)  It got me thinking about the last CD I made and how far I've come musically.  If you haven't yet heard "Hyping the Program / Angelina" from that CD, check it out now, because the new stuff will be much different... and this is probably the last time this isolationist will post a link to it!  It was a song written to Angelina Jolie, expressing frustration with our efforts overseas while our own neighborhoods rot.  Enjoy.  Here's the link http://www.reverbnation.com/tunepak/song_5890050
